MINI TREX

This 4 day mini trek will visit four important ancient Maya cities during the temperate month of April. Flights will go in and out of Villahermosa, Tabasco, a short 90 minutes from Palenque by land. After an overnight in Villahermosa and a stroll through the Olmec heads at La Venta Park, the entire next day will be dedicated to Palenque and its onsite museum. Day 3 will bring the group to the wonderful murals of Bonampak and the little know but massive ruins of Plan de Ayutla. On the final day the group will travel up the Usumacinta River by boat to visit the mist-shrouded ruins of Yaxchilan. Heading back to Palenque that night, 5am transports will bring the group back to Villahermosa for early am flights back home.

The guide for this tour will be Dr. Edwin Barnhart
